Alfie's Rescue
Welcome to Alfie’s Rescue, we rescue lost dogs. With a commitment to saving lives and serving our community, we’ve rescued over 36 dogs and continue to make a difference to animals in need.
Our rescue process begins with a calm and methodical approach, ensuring the safety and well-being of each dog we encounter. First we understand what happened to the dog, then we employ proven strategies to bring them home safely.
DO THESE STEPS FIRST!
Follow This Process
Review maps and gather information about the missing dog’s last known location.
Venturing into wooded areas may drive the dog further away.
Distribute posters in the surrounding neighborhoods and utilize social media to reach a wider audience.
Leave dehydrated dog food or tempting treats like grilled bacon or roast chicken at the last known location with a camera to monitor activity.
Place clothing with the owner’s scent in the area where the dog went missing to help guide them back home.
Set up live cellular trail cameras to monitor the area, especially during nighttime when dogs are more likely to return.
Analyze initial sightings to determine the direction the dog is heading and place food accordingly.
Call for sightings and encourage friends and family to share social media posts to increase visibility.
